Overview
The Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) is the state's consolidated central IT agency, created to bring technology staff, systems, and infrastructure for the agencies under the Governor into a single organization. DoIT sets statewide technology direction, runs enterprise application delivery and legacy modernization, operates shared data-center and cloud infrastructure, and houses statewide cybersecurity (including the state Security Operations Center) and the state's generative-AI strategy work.
